Faran’s “Galaxy S” uses Double Conversion (Online High Frequency UPS) technology with a transformer-based design, protecting equipment against mains fluctuations, sudden voltage changes, common-mode noise, phase faults, lightning and similar disturbances. With a capacity of 20 kVA, this product is suitable for banks, medical equipment (MRI, CT scan), IT centers, nonlinear industrial loads, offices and quality-control equipment. Depending on battery capacity and charging time, it can supply the load after a power outage (backup). Output voltage is selectable at 380/400/415 V; rated input is 380/400/415 V and the input-voltage range is ±25% of nominal. The front-panel display shows battery capacity, load, input/output voltage and frequency, and other operating values. The time required to fully charge the batteries depends on battery capacity. Operating temperature is 0–40°C and operating noise is below 55 dB. Faran Galaxy features a wide input-voltage range, Online Double Conversion, true sine-wave output, advanced battery management (ABM), automatic charging with the inverter off, a thyristor rectifier, EMI/RFI input/output filters, advanced PFC and network-based UPS monitoring. The unit also includes a DSP processor with Cold Start and ECO Mode. . The UPS has no internal battery and requires 28–32 external battery cells.
