Faran’s “Comet Plus” uses Double Conversion (Online High Frequency UPS) technology and protects equipment against mains fluctuations, sudden voltage changes, common-mode noise, phase faults, lightning and similar disturbances. With a capacity of 10 kVA, this product is suitable for banks, medical centers, IT centers, security systems, telecommunications, offices and quality-control equipment. Depending on battery capacity and charging time, it can provide backup power after a mains outage. Output voltage is selectable at 380/400/415 V; rated input is 380/400/415 V and the input-voltage range is 304–478 V. The front-panel display shows battery capacity, load, input/output voltage and frequency, and other operating values. The time required to fully charge the batteries depends on battery capacity. Operating temperature is 0–40°C and operating noise is below 55 dB. Faran Comet Plus features a wide input range, Online Double Conversion, true sine-wave output with THD below 1% at linear load, advanced battery management (ABM), automatic charging with inverter off, EMI/RFI filters, advanced PFC and network-based UPS monitoring. The unit also includes a DSP processor with Cold Start and ECO Mode. The UPS has no internal battery and requires 30–40 external battery cells.
