Faran’s “GriPower” uses Double Conversion (Online High Frequency UPS) technology in a modular architecture, with each module rated at 50 kVA. It protects equipment against mains fluctuations, sudden voltage changes, common-mode noise, phase faults, lightning and similar disturbances. With a capacity of 600 kVA, this product is suitable for banks, IT centers, security systems, telecommunications, quality-control equipment and offices. Depending on battery capacity and charging time, it can power the load after a mains outage (backup). Output voltage is selectable at 415/400/380 V; rated input is 415/400/380 V and the input-voltage range is 305–485 V. The front-panel display shows battery capacity, load, input/output voltage and frequency, and other operating values. The time required to fully charge the batteries depends on battery capacity. Operating temperature is 0–40°C and operating noise is below 58 dB. Faran GriPower features a wide input range, Online Double Conversion, true sine-wave output with THD below 1% at linear load, advanced battery management (ABM), automatic charging with the inverter off, EMI/RFI input/output filters, advanced PFC and network-based UPS monitoring. The unit also includes a DSP processor with Cold Start and Soft Start capabilities. The UPS has no internal battery and requires 30–46 optional external battery cells.
